"The thing I like most about teaching children and teenagers is how they always surprise me with what they say and what they're capable of doing."

Ana Perez

Ana Perez

Profesora

Ana is originally from Peru but grew up in Florida, US. She's been teaching English for five years, in Colombia and Peru, and is qualified with the CELTA and TYLEC, which qualifies her to teach children.

"Teaching is such a rewarding job, especially when teaching beginners. Students always tend to try their hardest and are conscious that they have to work hard to see results. I love seeing how they progress in the short time we are together and how confident they become of their abilities."

Flippanta Kulakiewicz, Profesora

Flippanta Kulakiewicz

Profesora

I was born in London, UK but my family is originally from Canada and Poland and I spent a lot of my childhood in Tanzania. Before I trained as a teacher I worked for several film and arts organisations in the UK. I've been teaching since 2011 and have taught in Scotland, Russia and Egypt. Despite a few initial surprises (fruit salad...and cheese!) I love life in Colombia and enjoy teaching Colombians because they are so lively and curious.

Joanne Carr, Profesora

Joanne Carr

Profesora

I'm from Dublin in Ireland.  I've taught English in Spain, England, Ireland, Italy and Colombia.  I've been in Colombia since January 2015 and have really enjoyed working for the British Council here.  We have great facilities and the students are friendly, interested and always up for having fun.  I love discussing the details of grammar with advanced students or helping a beginner student to communicate effectively (and everything in between).
